Stacy Stitham Joins Maine Historical Society Board of Trustees
Brann & Isaacson (B&I), a law firm with offices in both Lewiston and Portland, Maine, is pleased to announce that B&I Managing Partner, Stacy Stitham, has joined the Board of Trustees of Maine Historical Society (MHS). Stacy joins the board together with second new board member Jacob Soley, Director of Development at East Brown Cow.
“MHS is thrilled to welcome Stacy and Jacob to the Board during an exciting period of growth at the organization,” said Steve Bromage, Executive Director of MHS. “Both bring valuable civic and professional experiences and demonstrate a deep commitment to Maine’s past, present, and future.”
“I’m honored to have this opportunity to serve on the governance committee of the Board of Trustees at Maine Historical Society,” said Stacy. “This organization does tremendous work in preserving and sharing Maine’s story—and bringing that story to audiences throughout the world.”
Stacy Stitham, a fifth generation Maine attorney, serves as Managing Partner at Brann & Isaacson in Lewiston. She advises business clients, including several of the nation’s largest internet retailers, in civil and commercial litigation and various compliance issues, including data security. She holds degrees from Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude) and Harvard College (A.B., magna cum laude).
Stacy has devoted significant time to community service, volunteering on numerous boards including: Thomas College, University of Southern Maine School of Business, Pine Tree Legal Assistance, and Maine Audubon. She has served as President of the Maine State Bar Association. She also has two young children and is an avid, if amateur, historian in her own right.
Founded in February 1822, Maine Historical Society is the third oldest state historical society in the country. It is a modern, forward-looking organization with an expansive vision for the role that history and MHS can play in Maine.
