Peter Lowe and David Joyce Present at Maine State Bar Association’s Summer Conference

Partners Peter Lowe and David Joyce gave a well-attended presentation at the 2026 Summer Bar Conference in Rockport, Maine. Their session focused on one of the biggest issues currently facing employers globally: practical steps to manage AI in the workplace.

They shared the risks associated with using AI for HR and employment decisions, the emerging claims resulting from the use of AI at work, and strategies for communicating with challenging employees who threaten to overwhelm HR with AI-generated emails.

Peter advises senior executives, superintendents, HR professionals, and board members on governance, investigations, fiduciary duties, freedom of access, risk management, and personnel matters. He negotiates employment contracts, non-competition agreements and severance agreements.

Dave is a former Assistant United States Attorney with extensive experience in courtrooms in Maine and other jurisdictions. As a federal prosecutor for 20 years, Dave led hundreds of grand jury investigations and served as first-chair for more than a dozen trials.
