Nathaniel Bessey Again Named to Law360 Editorial Board, Tax Authority State & Local

Brann & Isaacson congratulates Nathaniel Bessey on being named to the 2025 Editorial Advisory Board of Law360, Tax Authority State & Local. This is Bessey’s second term on the board and he brings to the position extensive experience representing the firm’s clients, including Fortune 500 companies and some of the largest Internet retailers, in all aspects of state tax disputes. He represented the American Commerce Marketing Association (ACMA) in its successful court challenge of California Franchise Tax Board guidance that purported to remove important federal protections from state income tax relied upon by out-of-state business engaged in interstate commerce; and he currently represents the ACMA in a similar challenge to a New York regulation. He also regularly advises clients on data privacy and security, website accessibility, and consumer protection matters.
