Maine’s New Pay Transparency Law Requirements Effective July 29, 2026

Maine has enacted L.D. 54 – An Act to Require Employers to Disclose Pay Ranges and Maintain Records of Employees’ Pay Histories, with compliance required to begin on July 29, 2026. The law creates three core obligations for employers: pay range disclosure in job postings, pay range disclosure upon employee request, and expanded recordkeeping requirements.
