ICE Made I-9 Mistakes Much More Costly for Employers

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has quietly updated its Fact Sheet on Form I-9 Inspections, eliminating employers’ prior ability to correct many technical errors during an audit by reclassifying them as “substantive” violations that trigger immediate penalty exposure.
