B&I University: Executive Efforts to Squash DEI—What it Means for Employers

Category: ,

Earlier this month, B&I’s employment team presented the latest installment in our popular B&I webinar series. Peter Lowe and Laura O’Neill discussed the practical implications of the new Administration’s challenges to employers’ DEI policies.

Through a series of executive orders, investigations and enforcement actions, the federal government has declared many “DEI practices” to be illegal. Some employers have reached compromises with the government (notably some large law firms), and others have gone to court to challenge either the loss of federal funds or restraints on their ability to conduct their business.

In the webinar, Peter and Laura helped employers understand how they might be impacted by this enforcement activity. They discussed what might be considered an “illegal DEI practice”, and identified the practical steps that employers could consider to protect their business.

Please join our next B&I University webinar on Wednesday, July 16 at 12pm ET. At just 30 minutes long, these webinars offer practical overviews of some of the most talked-about matters facing our clients.
