Brann & Isaacson (B&I), a law firm with offices in both Lewiston and Portland, Maine, is pleased to welcome Isobel Golden as an associate. Isobel has joined the firm’s Litigation and Public Sector practices.

Prior to joining B&I, Isobel clerked for the Maine Superior Court. She was a law clerk for Chief Justice Robert Mullen and Justice MaryGay Kennedy. She also spent three years as a litigation associate at a midsize law firm in Portland. Isobel graduated from the University of Maine School of Law cum laude in 2020. During law school, she was an Articles Editor for the Maine Law Review and served as a Bernstein Fellow at the Lewiston District Court. She also spent a semester in Washington, D.C. as a legal extern with the Student Borrower Protection Center, where she focused on consumer protection issues affecting student borrowers.

“B&I’s litigation practice is growing in 2025, and Isobel is a notable, new addition to the team,” said Daniel Stockford, Partner at B&I. “She also brings her municipal government experience to our public sector practice, which is among the largest in the state.”

Isobel graduated from Bates College in 2011. Before law school, she worked extensively in Maine state politics and public service. She worked as a legislative aide in both the Maine House and Maine Senate, as a field director for a congressional campaign, and served on the Lewiston City Council during the 2016-2017 term. Isobel grew up on a small blueberry farm in Waldoboro, Maine and now lives in Lewiston with her husband and their two young daughters.
