Brann & Isaacson Partner Jamie Szal Presents at Global Women in Law & Leadership Symposium at United Nations

Category: ,

Brann & Isaacson today announced that Partner Jamie Szal will serve as a keynote speaker at the Global Women in Law & Leadership Symposium at the United Nations in New York on June 17.

The Global Women in Law & Leadership Symposium supports the success of women and their allies in law and business. It is organized by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), a global bar association. The event brings together attorneys, executives, and thought leaders from across industries to examine the future of leadership and advancement in the legal profession.

“Jamie’s leadership and commitment to both her clients and her community make her a natural fit for this distinguished program,” said Stacy Stitham. “She brings a thoughtful and practical perspective to complex legal issues while also serving as a mentor and advocate for others across the industry.”

As the Association of Corporate Counsel explains:

“The keynote speakers you’ll hear from at the Global Women in Law & Leadership Symposium are not just industry leaders—they are co-authors of Women in Law: Discovering the True Meaning of Success, a powerful collection of perspectives redefining what achievement looks like in the legal profession. Each chapter reflects lived experience from women who have built, led, advised, and transformed organizations across law, publishing, and corporate leadership… It’s an opportunity to connect with the thinkers shaping the next era of women’s leadership in law.”

“The legal profession is evolving in important and necessary ways, and forums like this help move those conversations forward,” said Szal. “I look forward to engaging with leaders across disciplines to discuss the importance of community, mentorship, and building sustainable careers in the law.”

Szal helps businesses strategically navigate the ever-evolving world of state and local tax. In the wake of the 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair, in which she worked on the team representing Wayfair, she has advised retailers, technology and telecommunications companies, and digital service providers on multistate tax compliance strategies. She also counsels companies on corporate compliance and governance matters.

Szal is currently a Trustee of her alma mater, Trinity College, and serves on Trinity’s Women’s Leadership Council. She also serves on the Board of Directors and Programming Committee of MothersEsquire.
