Brann & Isaacson Attorneys Appointed to State Legal Leadership Roles

David Joyce and Stacy Stitham will serve on bodies that support attorney licensure and professional responsibility.

Brann & Isaacson is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys have been appointed to key leadership roles supporting Maine’s legal profession.

Attorney David Joyce has been appointed by Governor Janet Mills to serve on the Maine Board of Bar Examiners, the body responsible for overseeing admission to the practice of law in Maine.

In addition, Stacy Stitham, the firm’s Managing Partner, has been appointed by the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar to serve as a member of the Fee Arbitration Commission, which helps resolve fee disputes between attorneys and clients through an impartial arbitration process.

“Dave and I are honored by the opportunity to serve and support the important work of these entities and gratified by the faith shown by the Governor and Board of Overseers in making these appointments,” said Stitham.

The Board of Bar Examiners and the Fee Arbitration Commission each play an important role in maintaining the integrity, professionalism and public trust that underpin Maine’s legal system. Joyce and Stitham will begin serving their respective terms this year.
