Hannah Wurgaft

Hanna Wurgaft is an associate at Brann & Isaacson. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law, education and municipal law, and litigation. Hanna provides advice to employers on day-to-day workplace issues and represents employers before the Maine Human Rights Commission, and in state and federal court. She is a skilled investigator and is often asked to conduct independent investigations for employers in the private and public sectors. Hanna also counsels school districts on student matters before the Dept. of Education and the Office of Civil Rights, and handles special education due process proceedings and complaint investigations. As a trained and certified Title IX investigator through ATIXA, Hanna frequently supervises and conducts Title IX investigations.

Hanna graduated from the University of Maine School of Law cum laude in 2019. While in law school, Hanna was a summer associate at Brann & Isaacson, a legal intern for L.L. Bean, and a Student Attorney in the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. Hanna graduated from Bowdoin College in 2014, where she was a co-captain of the softball team. In her spare time, Hanna enjoys exploring Maine’s woods and waters with her husband and their dog, Sprout.
